    @thatbrickster Well, considering you've been under a lot of stress, I'm proud of how far you've come this year. There will be times of setbacks, but I recall how you've made gains at work and at the gym. You've been going to quite a few places and experiencing new things. Look how far you've come with veganism and cooking too. I hope there continues to be a steady progress in all the areas important to you.

    @delores @rye There are quite a few reasons might follow through on it. Like physical/mental pain that becomes unbearable and impacts on the quality of life you will experience. A lot of people don't realise how debilitating having a mental health issue can be. It can take on a consistent physical pain of it's own. The brain becomes fixated on bad thought patterns which can lead to self-destructive habits as a way to cope. Feeds into itself. I prefer not to go down the route of being selfless... It is a dark rabbit hole. You can convince yourself of any reason to follow through on it. I know I've had my fair share, and you end up trying to isolate yourself because you see how your depression hurts others, or overdo things for them that you end up neglecting your own needs and burn out. It will never be enough, whatever you do. The thought pattern is set up that way. Better to let it go, IMO. Ask the deeper questions to find your reasons to live, so you have a more solid foundation to guide you through life should you choose to live.

    @rye @delores It makes no sense to me because it solves nothing except to add more guilt on top of the pain. People contemplating suicide are usually in a lot of pain to seek the relief of death. The focus should be on them, on how to soothe the pain and resolve any issues that led to the situation. Not guilt them into remaining alive because their suicide would hurt others. What kind of life do you lead following that reasoning?
