I think nepfag had the right idea about posting anime grills as a filter. Quality people are unlikely to be phased by it.

@djabadu Maybe if these people get bored of fedi. But something else will probably replace them. We need a way to bring quality people looking to contribute to the community here in a positive way... something that attracts them while repelling others that aren't. I don't see that happening with the direction mastodon has turned, in particular. Caters to the wrong types of people to what I'm after since they tend to be closed off to conversations.
