Yep. My harddrive is basically on its way out... rip me. I just hope what I wanted to back up hasn't been corrupted just yet.
-
@mangeurdenuage I can't watch the video? RIP.
Apparently this test completed itself but the read element failed. I don't get it.
-
40% of this test to go... can't wait.
-
I hope I won't need more space than this memory stick provides.
-
Oh shit... if I can't fix this then that will mean I can't use the e-mails associated with my GS accounts. I'm very bad with passwords. :s Except for this account.
What is a decent e-mail provider that does enable password changes?
-
I think my hard-drive might be on its way out... so I'll need to get a new one. :s
-
I think I need some lunch, and then in search of this memory stick while waiting. If I'm honest... I'm not sure if I'll be able to get back in again should I log out.
-
@mangeurdenuage I'm checking the most corrupted partition on here which is the problem for me with signing in. Just playing the waiting game now...
-
@newt @thatbrickster Looks like root is where most of the corruption is... I think some of the home had it too but not as much.
-
@moonman @fl0wn No worries. I appreciate hearing this too. It seems root is very corrupted on my laptop hard drive.
-
(1.0% non-contiguous) <-- This is pretty bad.
-
@mangeurdenuage I don't know what the password is on the live install which makes matters harder on this.
-
@phildobangnz @mangeurdenuage @thatbrickster It was Arch to begin with, but Manjaro is an arch distro so it was recommended as more user-friendly for my beginner status. It was set up out of the install. :') Don't think he would recommend it now given how much bloat it has!
-
@chara @roka Al's, in the interests of transparency, moonman took over the running of SLC a while back with rw, to keep us going. Which is something else you won't like to hear.
-
@chara @roka I don't hawk over your timeline. I look at the public timeline to check on things or answer questions. You really aren't that special. I simply answered a concern you had, and then you have ago at me for it. The answer is still that we will very likely move over to pleroma because it is the better alternative, and as much as I hate to say it... But qvitter/GS is dying. It isn't being updated. The interest in it has died now. People don't like working with its code which sucks. It is getting slower at points.
-
@moonman @fl0wn Hey, because I'm having technical issues right now... I don't know when I'll be able to properly moderate, sorry. I don't know how risky what I'm doing right now is so I may need to wait for the new year before being able to get back to normal.
-
Anyways, I really need to go now... rip me.
-
I wonder why chara keeps projecting their insecurities through subposts onto me. It gets boring after a while. It lacks substance.
-
I just had this thought prior that I don't know what I'm doing on linux since I don't know what I'm doing. Kinda almost think it might have been better on windows... if it weren't for them spying and bullshit. :/
-
I don't think this is /home but yeah.
