@dokidoki That makes sense. I just felt this way for myself due to my suicidal tendencies. It's easier for me to say I'd die than to live if that makes sense.
-
@mangeurdenuage I wasn't aware! I've only known this or similar to be used in a negative way... like to avoid the women that are baby crazy because they will trap you. That women in their 30's get this way.
-
@mangeurdenuage Not sure what you mean. I feel like I should but ehh. I don't have it on hand tho.
-
@phildobangnz We all have that responsibility... after all, why are you attracted to women like this yourself? I think we are in agreement about how people can conceal their nature and the modelling behaviour you mentioned. The kinds of women that I think about being attracted to abusive men like you mention would most likely fall under this category. Most likely been abused/neglected in some way, and it is playing out in the partners they choose. It's not easy for anyone to figure out what patterns they are repeating, and then do something about it so they can model after a healthy relationship instead. Most people aren't taught how to do this.
Goodnight! Sweet dreams.

@mangeurdenuage Getting? I've had these instincts for years now... although I didn't think I'd be able to have children. The older that I get, I can start to dispel those doubts more easily. I guess one could call it baby crazy years. It just builds up with the years that go by.
-
@mangeurdenuage Funny you should say that, I'm borrowing a book on everyday use of ethics!
-
@newt Fair enough!
-
@detectivehyde I really like this. I definitely feel like there has been something I've been searching for in life.
-
@newt What is borderline nihilistic about it to you?
-
@phildobangnz Yeah... I shudder to think about it. I can only hope my children don't become entangled in it, and that justice is done. This is political correctness gone mad!
Sometimes they are lied to, yes. People can be very good at hiding how they are until they know they've trapped you and then they stop hiding. There is a degree of self-responsibility involved, but do keep in mind that it is likely what they think they deserve or all they know. They gravitate to what is familiar to them... it's not easy to shake off the nurture bond or lackof, to break bad habits you don't know you have. There could be unseen abuse in these households growing up, they may not have a healthy role model in what to look for in their parents either... it is a vicious circle they go on to commit themselves for their future children.
-
@shmibs @mangeurdenuage You use minty body wash too? It seems like an acquired taste!
-
@mangeurdenuage That is quite the poignant answer. I like it.
-
@mangeurdenuage Because of the new body wash I picked up. I didn't realise I would literally feel that way using it. Lol.
-
@newt Ah... so the laughter/fun you can extract from living?
-
@phildobangnz By taking advantage, I was actually thinking about circumstances like rape gangs/pimping or slavery. These girls are very vulnerable and don't have the protection from it that they need. It happens in my country still, and it is sickening. Of course, normal relationship stuff can be damaging... so we don't need to add more to what they would normally go through. A lot of women are broken, and naturally gravitate to the types of abusive men you speak of... teaching them how to form healthy attachments is what will lessen or prevent that from happening. So that we can build upon a healthier future for future generations to come who would otherwise be stuck in these vicious familial cycles. But breaking the cycle is down to the individual.
-
@bushdoctorz No thank you. I'm not interested in natural remedies at this point... plus I couldn't inbox you anyway.
-
@karen I'm gonna have to pass on this offer. Only I get to steal my cutie BF.
-
What would you live for?
-
There is no substitute for a child of your own.
-
@orekix I haven't been that good with looking after pets in the past so I prefer to not have that responsibility. But we do still have pets here... I guess I do give them that treatment from time to time. :')
I look forward to having children of my own though.
