@rye I'm on like every day... where you at?
-
@augustus Yeah. I still don't know where I got the idea that it was capitalism. But that was my late teen thinking... I met someone online to help me re-frame my life shortly after. Got lucky... I got out! But yeah... I think it does give them some hope. It sucks that they can't see how controlled we are by the state, and that communism would lead to more of this.
-
@mangeurdenuage RIP. I guess it would take something like this! Not that it is difficult to break me.
-
@augustus Tbh, I almost became a commie for this reason. Somewhere, I learned to blame capitalism for this trapped feeling that I felt about society. It fed into my depression. I just wanted to escape to somewhere else... but it was more like creating a voluntary community on an island that I could contribute to. I didn't have an answer for those born into the system whom it wouldn't be voluntary for though. There doesn't seem like many different choices in the world to move to. When I saw the states role in fucking up my life though... I stopped blaming it on capitalism.
-
@mangeurdenuage I don't know what that is!
-
@mangeurdenuage @augustus Guiz... why are you making this so difficult to be a commie? Do you not want me to be a commie? I'm onto you.
-
@debbie Isn't that just socialism?
-
@augustus This is harder than I thought at first. : thinking :
-
@augustus Is there a step 2?
-
How do you be a commie?
-
What would your reaction be if I became a commie?
-
@sarcasmkid Sounds like I need a shotgun wedding so I can get the hug in time!
-
@augustus Lmao. I guess you'll have to go out and buy new plates to have something to do then!
-
@augustus Wanna do the washing up for me?
-
@ayy I wouldn't say friends now tbh. I think friendship means something different. I've drifted from the people I once knew... it was mostly college that kept us together. Or whatever. Plus it's not like I can go out and do much.
-
@ayy You haven't seen me in person! Just ask bricky how nervous I was. ;; Family is long distance except immediate, and I do hang out from time to time there. About the only socialising I do most of the time. I had few friends and it is awkward now... not sure I have much in common. I tried a reunion with one friend before, and it was mostly talking about what everyone was up to now and not much else. Lol.
-
@rye Well, having a balanced life is certainly important, IMO.
-
Well, the gym will still give me a dose of human interaction that I would otherwise not get. That, or tons of stress!
-
@guizzy Aha... I don't blame anyone for having that attitude! It's why I considered attending a class.
-
Not really sure if the gym is a good place to meet new friends.
