@guizzy @nameface @detectivehyde @bigmike919 Now you're just giving them ideas! I don't think I'm getting out of this alive. :')
-
@bigmike919 @nameface @guizzy @detectivehyde Well, I don't think it stops me from being a good person, per say. But it does have its limits, and I'm also slow due to other things... which has been a disaster for my working life. What little of it there is. Because speed is of the essence... if one were to judge my working life, it would leave much to be desired!
-
@guizzy @nameface @detectivehyde @bigmike919 I think I might be a bit bigger than loli size but around there. xD
-
@detectivehyde @nameface I'm still not convinced. ;;
-
@detectivehyde @nameface Not small kid that can ride on daddy's shoulders tiny tho.
-
@detectivehyde @nameface I don't think that would work... I'm not a little child. :')
-
@detectivehyde @nameface I found out for sure last year, but yes.
-
@bigmike919 @nameface @detectivehyde Perhaps. I still don't know how to be comfortable or own my height. Any of that. It's just something that has been eating at me. Even if it is something that I can't change now. And even though @guizzy mentioned to look for the good points... it still doesn't compare to what I said above. The only good thing is not having to duck as much... I can't think of anything else.
-
@bigmike919 @nameface @detectivehyde The problem is that it does adversely impact my life and feed into my insecurities. I'm not saying that things aren't doable, but I would definitely have to put a lot more effort into something like walking faster so I don't slow taller people down... it's easier to think of yourself as slow when you don't meet the average standards and people around you breeze through things like it is nothing to them. It's not nice feeling breathless. I will admit, I do feel shame. Sometimes it does feel like this stuff defines me.
-
@guizzy @nameface @detectivehyde @bigmike919 Basically me. :')
-
@augustus Yeah... I don't like it when they are boastful and over-the-top. What sort of company is that to work for?
-
@bigmike919 @nameface @detectivehyde Considering that I'm not even 5 foot, that does play a huge role in it. Most people appear tall to me and it is harder for me to wrap my head around this idea that the average is small. That women taller than me have complained about it or consider themselves small. Although I can understand that to someone much taller, people shorter to them would seem to be small since they'd have to look down to speak with them like I tend to look up more.
But don't mind me... I just have this insecurity about my height. It makes doing things harder... I don't feel like I have the 'guys like smol girls' thing going for me. I'd rather be able to fit into clothes, or reach things from high shelves at the store or at home, not have to use my tip-toes... I'd rather have more room in my body for fat to spread around. I'd rather be able to move about places quicker without having to exert more energy. There are just perks to being the average for women or men. The only advantage to being small is not having to duck as much... but compared to all that, it's nothing. Doesn't compare. Don't even get the whole guys prefer small girls thing since I'd get that if I were taller still.
-
@guizzy @nameface @detectivehyde @bigmike919 Idk... there is still weight to consider. But smol means nothing to me if the average can be considered smol. My height makes things harder like finding clothes that fit, or reaching high shelves. About the only advantage I can see is that I don't have to duck as much when walking through historical buildings or with low ceilings. Guys would consider me smol whichever height I'm at... unless I'm obviously tall.
-
@roko That could get confusing!
-
@thatbrickster @moonman You aren't Tenshi? News to me.
-
@guizzy @nameface @detectivehyde @bigmike919 Well, I can't deny that I'm a smol girl... but I'm the smaller side so it is to my disadvantage. Guys would think I'm smol even if I'm the average height for women. It doesn't say much then.
-
@bigmike919 @nameface @detectivehyde Well... actually, 5'4" is average for women in the west. Under 5 foot is what I'd call short but a lot of people have this impression it is around when you say. I feel really disadvantaged at my height because I don't even have this... I might as well be the average and still get called short.
-
@roko Nope. Not even for bants. I want to be a mother some day.
-
@augustus Tbh, I've never actually liked this when it comes to them talking about how inclusive they are to women or in general. They probably have to make a statement.
-
@roko Of course, I wouldn't mind dressing up like a reverse trap and keep people guessing about my gender. ;) Although I wouldn't go as far as transitioning.
