@detectivehyde Yeah. You can get into trouble even though you aren't portraying it in a positive light unlike some stories have done.
-
@roka @detectivehyde Yeah. It's a bit much to me! :')
-
@detectivehyde @roka Now that is really lazy and stretching it. Makes one wonder if they might not be the racists, after all...
-
@detectivehyde Touche. It wasn't just a clean kill either... which repulses us when it came to the killing. It was definitely brutal and it gave the impression they wanted there, I think. I guess they want to stop writers employing things like this for writing.
-
@roka @detectivehyde Okay, that's... WTF? Why would they come to that conclusion?
-
@maxmustermann @moonman Go for it.
-
@detectivehyde It's stupid. Rape is horrifying but then so is being murdered or tortured to death but those aren't holy. I don't think a story should have to stray away from those things just because it's not necessarily necessary. Then again, maybe it is necessary to the writer to depict them this way. Maybe that is how the writer imagines them to behave. They seemed mischievous to me and they wouldn't understand boundaries/rights.
-
@detectivehyde I don't get what they have a problem with... rape was only alluded to in it rather than shown. The goblins just made them their 'playthings'. It's funny how it is rape that gets spoken about when we saw them being tortured to death. What is wrong with depicting a realistic-to-the-world depiction of goblins?
-
@wizard Keep in mind this is all new to me so I don't know how good it is and it may be geared towards women more... but the book I picked up is titled "Know your style" by Alyson Walsh.
-
@rye Let me know when and we can do that!
-
@thatbrickster If you can catch me in the right frame of mind for it, I would play it then. Used to play a racing game in the past. Not my favourite genre though.
-
@ajr Thanks! I shall after I got through one part I was stuck at for a bit last night. :')
-
@hakui @nerthos @roka @kro @nepfag @dolus @umi @chen Well, especially with that ending... but then again, we still have stupid or naive people in reality. Like we have a number of drunk driving incidences... but there are still people that think they can handle driving while drunk and then get into accidents.
-
@thatbrickster Ehh... even with RPGs like I like, you don't need a ton of time if you just appreciate them a few hours at a time over a long period of time. The only problem is that they can be good at sucking you in and keeping you up! :') But you do you and what works for you here.
-
I guess it is time to vidya. After the week I've had, I could do with it!
-
@voxumbra @moonman Ahh... that does make some sense. Good thing there are still a few adult cartoons although they tend to be more humour/parody these days in the west.
-
@hakui @nerthos @roka @kro @nepfag @dolus @umi @chen You can see why I called it brutal! They were beginners that had the power of positive thinking and will, wanted to do good... and got their arse handed to them! Although if it happens frequently, you'd think there would be more effort to prevent beginners from just waltzing in there...
-
@moonman Interesting! I imagine it would have been for adults, yeah. Not sure when cartoons became more associated with children than adults though.
-
I picked up another book based on creating a style for yourself in clothing, and thought about @rice around the same time. I wonder if this book will be any good... worth a read into even if I don't do any of it.
-
I've heard about how food was rationed during WWII... but I didn't follow the logical conclusion that other things were rationed. I picked up this book based on the knowledge shared back then for mending things around the house. Mostly about sewing I think.
