@awg @igeljaeger @weeb Honestly, I do feel like there are people I am better off not interacting much with because I don't want to spend my time being angry or annoyed, or any other negative emotions. Especially during times when my emotional reserves are depleted. I do enjoy the thought of enjoying good discourse with pub pals, and being able to dig into the human psyche to learn more. I even surprise myself with my own views that don't get articulated until then.

@mangeurdenuage Thanks! I'm in and out while reading these days. Gives me a chance to stay with it for a bit.
-
I was going to visit the birds today but yesterday left me feeling so exhausted that I ended up sleeping most of the morning away, and waking up at odd times. :')
-
@mangeurdenuage I don't think I slept that well, tbh. I've been exhausted all day. :s
-
Already page 50 of this new book so I'm quite pleased with myself on that! I hope it will give me some new insights.
-
@awg @umi @othinus @djsumdog @orekix I'm inclined to agree with your conclusion. If you aren't practiced at remaining in the present then it can be quite difficult. It might also be down to the work you are doing and how excited they are about it, or they might be expecting an important text or something. Or it has just become a habit. But it is a shame that we're not taught the ability to be present now and allow things to distract us more easily. Especially while out in nature.
-
@awg @umi @othinus @djsumdog @orekix That sounds great and I like that vision. But have you looked around? I'm not surprised that people aren't in the present moment while they walk around. There are few things to look at which uplift the spirit. You just walk on, trying to avert your gaze from modern architecture. Things aren't built to be beautiful any more... so why would we want to be present there? How do you connect to such an environment and remain present? It just doesn't have the same appeal as being out in nature, IMO. Which is partly why I think it is so important to leave area for natural beauty so that people can refresh their minds there.
-
@awg @umi @othinus @djsumdog @orekix One thought I had was, "If only we could make the streets look so beautiful that everybody will want to look there instead of distracting with being on their phones to get through their walk."
But as you say, those things are a problem and the above won't necessarily work all the time. I really don't have an answer for it. They will probably only learn the hard way, if at all. There are definitely problems that you've just pointed to as well. I just need my phone to do a few things, like give me access to phone functions and the ability to search the web. Few other things.

"It's you. It's always been you."
"Does that mean you will marry me?"
Hearing this, my first thought is yes when I imagine it differently. The thought of becoming a wife excites me.
-
@mangeurdenuage Thank you. Hope your night went well and relaxed!
-
Well, goodnight fedi. I'm going to try to sleep earlier today... take care and sleep well. I hope you can relax yourselves!
-
@mangeurdenuage It's not good. I don't like feeling so tense. When I didn't attend the gym today, it was supposed to be my rest day. Because I didn't get this, it will probably become unbearable at the weekend. Right now, I am experiencing my norm... but 'relax' is just the best description I could think of at the time compared with my intense tension for most of today.
-
It's like I can finally relax. I don't feel quite so tense unlike I've felt all day.
-
I wonder how I reached this point in the day too.
-
Oh... I was going to play one of my games today but got distracted. Hmm.
-
@detectivehyde >_<
-
@mangeurdenuage Yeah... it is harder to express online.
-
@detectivehyde No comment.
-
@mangeurdenuage Every man has the ability to cultivate his inner cuteness. You'd have to reveal it more to me for me to say.
-
@detectivehyde Hard to say so I'll leave it to your imagination!
