I spent about an hour trying to figure out why git and my deploy script were fucking up so bad when I updated my website; turns out I had another terminal website open which was still serving a local version for me to look at while I was making changes. Every time I tried to clean a directory, the other process was rebuilding it.

@Gargron yeah the 50% daleks/cybermen shit was extremely bad. For what it's worth, it's actually in a Quite Good phase at the moment, the last series had a few bangers in it (although also one outright stinker). No idea about the fandom, but *incoming dangerous opinion* I don't really understand why people say they are "in a fandom" (as opposed to just liking a thing) anyway.

@Gargron @jk yeah idk, I don't want to neg on it too hard because you obviously like it and it means a lot to you, but honestly those 20 chapters were one of my least favourite things I've ever read, enough to put me off reading more even if there are smart people I respect (like you) telling me it gets great if you just wait until later. Maybe too many negative experiences reading Internet Rationalists have broken my brain for enjoying this kind of thing, idk
