@bstacey @adam a while ago I found the pdf of the first thing I ever wrote in LaTeX and its pretty funny. It seems I didn't yet know how theorem environments or lists worked.

@bstacey @adam Yeah that's my hope. Given that I learned it by screwing around, I hope supervision will just speed the process along a bit.

@adam Yeah, that's going to be my basic approach. Other people have given a course like this as a presentation before and it hasn't gone well. I've booked a room with a bunch of computers with tex on them and am essentially planning to have them follow me as they go and then give exercises.

Designing a 4-hour introduction to LaTeX course for work. Finding it quite difficult to succinctly communicate a body of knowledge I built up over years by just using it and looking things up as I needed them.
I've never taught software before; any tips?
