@n8 @cwebber I guess, for me, many times that it is simply "I forgot."
There has been more than one case of thinking I was following someone but it turns out I was not.

Have some videos that I had purchased on Amazon that I'd like to download. The easiest way to get around DRM is just to play the video and record what is being played. I could do that, but not sure I want to set it all up.
Turns out that someone has done that as a cloud service. Basically for about $0.20 per video they'll spin up a cloud instance, play the video, turn it into an MPEG4 and give you a download link.
Seems to work pretty well.
@tinker I forgot the password to my Plex server, can I borrow yours?
Biblobus, food truck meets book store.
Wonder if that can bring books to more people. I could see it being great at school events or festivals especially.
My teenage son was complaining about a light in the bathroom being out. Seeing this as a "teachable moment" I asked: "What could you do to make the situation better?"
"Go to the bathroom in the dark?" 🤔
🙄 "Get a bulb from the cabinet and replace it. Now."

@freakazoid I'm curious how many developers are really making money off of app sales in the Play Store.
The ones making money seem like largely free apps that connect to services which require subscription.
@Are0h the software analogy there is "handle your errors don't just pass them on."
@annika oh, my!
I am curious though whether it is like a stream or like an atomizer.
If it was like the atomizer I *could* see some logic in the idea you would use less and make your waffle slightly healthier.
Crazy.
@Sturmflut yes, most recently. There have been Bugzilla bugs and other requests for seemingly forever. That is the most recent.
It is a problem, in my experience the worst cases are in education where it is hard to put that on course titles and descriptions. Or in lower grades where teachers are worried kids will go home and tell there parents: "Look what I learned today!"
Doing a brainstorming for the Texas Linux Fest 2020 designs and I just found out that for the Dallas conference the program was done in the font Oswald.

🤣
@tindall make signs that look like garage sale signs that say: "Concentration Camp ➡️" And put them around giving directions to it.
Making other people aware of what they're near would (hopefully) make them uncomfortable and protest in their own way.
Playing around with Raph Levien's new curve type that he presented at the last LGM, converted to C++. Also comparing to his old spiro type. The blue dots are after conversion to cubic beziers. Where the old spiro is more like having to keep up with a higgs boson gone mad, the new type is much more stable. These curves potentially help a lot to cut down on bezier handle clutter when working with paths.
@Sturmflut it is a negative term in the US as well, and does hurt adoption.
I would love to see the current developers rename it. Not sure a fork is the right answer but they've chosen to be stubborn about keeping a hurtful name.
@Sturmflut it could be.
And I don't mind it nearly as much from my local grocery store that is union and doesn't contribute to exploitation of workers.
But, it still feels like something relatively easy to do myself.
@tinker sounds like fun.
One thing that I've found that helped with local hikes is: https://www.hikingproject.com/
Community data generated and sponsored by REI.
@Are0h I think this is a great stance for your users and it also shows a greater strength of the Fediverse in general.
Some people want the Fediverse to be about everyone connecting to everyone else. Which is silly and it really only benefits those who want to take advantage of other communities.
The strength of the Fediverse is that individuals can participate, in good faith, in multiple communities that they are part of.
@Gargron so, if I read this right, you're saying that Mastodon is actually a decentralized block chain?
😉
My bucket list is quite simply all the UNESCO World Heritage Sites — https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-48894642
@scott have to wonder whether something like a nag bot would work. Then for a small donation you turned off the bot for that user.
Nothing bad, just like one DM a month or so.
