@frostotron unfortunately i don't have a tv to hook up my ps3 to, and not enough room on my desk to be swapping out inputs and/or have a console permanently hooked up. so the vita is the best alternative for now.

otherwise i would grab the ps3 version because i've seen it dirt cheap at multiple used game stores

but yeah, i'm enjoying it. the input lag and slowdowns are a bit annoying but otherwise it's quite playable and hasn't aged too poorly.

actually, the game's difficulty curve so far seems really well done. i'm finding golden bolts by accident, simply by noticing something strange and investigating it. too many games these days go out of their way to hide things in the trickiest/most tedious of places. it's refreshing this way imo.

altogether it's a fun game though? i imagine i would've loved this if i ever knew of it back when i first got a ps2. i played the heck out of the spongebob squarepants movie game and it's kinda similar

not that i haven't played a ratchet and clank game before but. thought i'd at least have something positive to say about it considering all the negatives i just spat out

the audio doesn't seem to have aged well? i still can't tell if there's something wrong with my headphones or not. maybe they even compressed the audio to better fit the game on the vita since memory cards are $$

the graphics are dated of course. they actually look pretty alright on the vita screen, though scaling makes things look a little weird and the colours are...pretty dismal?

input lag is pretty bad too. i was warned.

my vita is still set to eastern time and it keeps scaring me that the time is 1hr later than it really is

@Kit_Myotis yeah, it's absolutely something that matters in a device, but i've personally felt it isn't something i can afford to think about unless i'm buying the device pre-broken to fix myself later so i can save money overall
