@nolan You could do it like one client I support:

    1) say nothing regarding IE11
    2) when sites start breaking down in IE11, tell users to "try Chrome" even though it doesn't come pre-installed on company-issued laptops
    3) Have Chrome available in Corporate Software Center, available for install, but don't push to machines

It's a weird situation. I don't know anymore if I'm _supposed_ to be supporting IE11, or not.

@carbontwelve Sadly enough. :( I run six VMs on an Intel NUC that's maybe 4inches across. And even it's doing nothing most of the time.

@carbontwelve I don't think it would be better. Since most servers spend 99% of their time twiddling their thumbs, just get whatever's cheaper and has a lower power draw. :P

@zac Let me know when you get done with it, and I'll use it too. :P I'm working on a separate "auto-blocking" mod for mastodon -- not a fork, but just a mod that modifies the Masto database directly.

@nolan Coincidentally, about a year or so ago I basically stopped using browser extensions. I have just one in each of Chrome and Firefox. I don't know why. :\ I think I just had to reinstall everything with a new computer, and didn't sync extensions, and then after a few months realized I didn't need any of them anymore. (HTTSPAnywhere is the only thing I run now.)

Really, really, REALLY impressed by DigitalOcean's VM droplets. Wow.

It's like Azure and AWS were designed by businesspeople, and DigitalOcean's droplets were designed by people who actually build VMs.

@ajroach42 Ever used https://www.obsidianportal.com/ ? I've used, and know a group, that uses it, and it seems decent enough.

@staticsafe Yeah, weird -- I check the pihole exiting entries, and it looks like it's just a bunch of subdomains added for it, instead of the whole domain. :\ Wonder why they did that.

@staticsafe You have already eclipsed my network knowledge.

I just put the numbers in the box on my router and the ads, they disappear :p

@staticsafe I've always noticed intermitted blocking of ads on iOS -- I'm pretty sure Apple is doing some sort of DNS trickery.
