The young folks don't dance like we did in our day. When they go see bands, they tend to crowd the front of the stage and just stand there. We danced, not as couples, but more like a group with groups within the group. I miss that.

Someone in Austin made a "Fuck Art, Let's Dance" tshirt back then(early 80s). I had one. Wore it out. I currently wear a larger size but wish I had another one. That was the spirit.

Thanks. If you lived here, you would acclimate too. I was born elsewhere to two Dutch nationals but got here as fast as I could.

I moved my family to Denver back in '98 to take a job with a large cellular carrier. I remember coming home from work one day in July or August to meet spouse on the front steps. She was almost crying as she said, "It doesn't get hot enough here."

We moved back to Texas and she's made it clear we're not leaving the state again. She's a native Texan.😃

I just figured out you can go to settings and disable it.

Yeah, it's not very straight forward but swiping up and down controls volume. Swiping something like diagonal from lower left to upper right controls brightness. It's a screwed up feature.

Today it was a chilly 90°F(32°C), after last night's storms poured in from the north, for my 5K. We've had a welcome breeze out of the north all day. Good run.

I'm conflicted about this too. Without AWS, we wouldn't have the internet we have today. They gambled, put the servers out there and here we are. Would it have happened anyway? Probably, but it would be different.

Anything powerful can be abused. It's not inherently evil but people can be.
