The selection is still very small as we've just started, and we're trying to avoid the "firehose" approach of archive.org.

Actually, GPLv2 section 4 is quite explicit about the GPL license being irrevocable, which means ESR is doubly incorrect:

GPLv2 section 4:

Any attempt otherwise to copy, modify, sublicense or distribute the Program is void, and will automatically terminate your rights under this License. However, parties who have received copies, or rights, from you under this License will not have their licenses terminated so long as such parties remain in full compliance.

What this means broken down:

You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the Program except as expressly provided under this License.

You can’t change the license when you pass it on to others.

Any attempt otherwise to copy, modify, sublicense or distribute the Program is void, and will automatically terminate your rights under this License.

Doing so anyway is a breach of the license and rescinds your own rights to use the work under GPLv2.

However, parties who have received copies, or rights, from you under this License will not have their licenses terminated so long as such parties remain in full compliance.

Even if your own rights are revoked, people you passed the code along to keep their own rights under GPLv2. Licenses will not be revoked as long as those parties remain in compliance.

Thusly, a GPLv2 grant is irrevocable.

In general we're terrible at hiring. We overvalue raw intelligence and specific technical knowledge. (Sorry, this project uses Ruby 2.5.1 and you only know Ruby 2.5.0.)

Meanwhile we undervalue the most important skills: judgement, empathy, and communication. I don't care how brilliant my colleague's code is if the person can't explain it, is a jerk, or the code never should have been written in the first place.

KDE is looking to employ a technical documentation analyst to revise and advise on improvements to KDE's technical documentation, with a special focus on documentation that will introduce new developers to the project.

It's a bot which I know some people hate, but otherwise I love @accessibleColors, which randomly selects colors with sufficient contrast to meet #accessibility standards.

Did you know color combinations can be measured and result in a number that has to be over a certain threshold to be accessible? I think that's pretty cool.

In an internet of light grey text on white backgrounds, it's nice to see how many, many better options are available. :)

Today I realized I have been using Linux as my default personal desktop OS for 20 years. Everybody jokes about the year of Linux on the Desktop but for me that year was 1998. Here are more words that date me: Red Hat 5.1, floppy install disks, fvwm95.
