My aging Apple iPhone 6 GS is reaching the end of its long life and I’ve been considering getting a #LibreM phone. Given the posted shipping delays I should order right about now, and I was wondering whether I should order replacement batteries at the same time before they’re discontinued or when I need it because they would already have lost some of their charge?
I also had a question about screen replacement, how does it work in the US? Do I need to buy replacement screens or will I have to ship my device for repairs? -

Sad but not surprised to see Westerners regularly falling for Western propaganda surprised at examples of Russians falling for Russian propaganda. -

Hi !Friendica Developers,
are we ready to open the RC phase for version 2022.03? How much time do we need for this period? -

Even coercion needs trust. Nobody physically forces you to work, you do it because you trust people will carry on with their threats if you don't.
But let's go back to paying for things. You don't know where the things come from, you don't know who made them, you don't know how they were made, and yet you give people an amount of material vastly inferior to the things and they accept it in exchange of the things.
On both sides of this transaction, there was a significant amount of trust for it to actually happen.
This doesn't mean we are unconditionally trusting each other for everything, just that most of our daily lives are based on a low-level foundation of trust. -

I'm going to give you an answer by reduction to the absurd: What do you think a society not based on mutual trust would look like? You would likely have to know how to make everything you eat and use regularly, like food, tools and shelter because you wouldn't trust anyone else providing them. Money would not exist as the coins and bills' materials are worth less than their face value. Trade would be exceedingly complicated without trust.
Sure, there are breaches of trust in this society, and most of them already are illegal like defamation, theft and murder. But for the most part, we do trust each other. -

It still is jarring to me that in our society that's entirely based on mutual trust, some people's professional activity is to publicly lie, and not all of these activities are illegal. -

Today I read a commentary praising "the limitless imagination of Hayao Miyazaki" about someone who's admittedly been very prolific but with a pretty narrow range all things considered. This feels to me like casual exoticism given the original commentator is white. -

♲ @RainaBrands@twitter.com: Our son has been in daycare since the beginning of the year. If he is sick and needs to come home early, they call me. If they want to give him paracetamol, they call me. If he has injured himself they call me. So what? 🧵1/4
