Arguments should start with a statement of the problem, and then a thorough examination of all likely solution spaces, and only state their conclusion, in well, the conclusion. So, we've all been arguing wrong anytime we do it any other way, because we're flawed silly little meatmonkeys.

@hypolite Oh, I don't want to get out ahead. I just want to see the stars again, that's all. I'm not going to cause the apocalypse, or do anything to benefit from it, and I'm even trying to prevent it, albeit likely in vain - but, if it happens anyway, I want to appreciate the silver lining. -_-

Mmm, yeah getting useful numbers out of that would probably require a lot of legwork and statistical expertise. Should still be possible though. :/

Basically the way that people who say that define it. So, new inventions, basically. There's probably a way to mathematize and compare inventions - complexity, number of possible combinations that they pulled their answer out of, etc. For example, if a pathfinding pulls a single potential path out of a million, that's a greater degree of innovation than a pathfinding algorithm that pulls a dozen potential paths out of 20. :/

@venatus @riking You could probably break it down to the neural networks involved. Though, I don't think we have sensors good enough to measure that yet. But, if we did, there's probably a way. :/

@venatus Hmm, true. Still, the brain is made out of neurons and these neurons do computation. So, we can calculate the raw amount of computation that humans do, right? There are probably other things we need to factor in, like efficiency and such, but it should still be possible. :/

Has there been any work done on calculating human computation? That is to say, the amount of computation done and shared by humans, and it's properties? I was thinking about how people say "Innovation is Limitless", and it occurred to me that we should actually be able to calculate human innovation, and it's limits. :/

Oh y3ah, this place is super picky. Everything needs to look perfectly neat from the outside at least. XD

As for my roommates, they're willing to pay what they were before. So, should be enough to pay the things off relatively quick. :/

While I'm at it, I'm going to see about implementing modularity, I think. Split the front end and the back end into separate packages, and make sure it's possible to compartmentalize new functionality. :/

The more I think about it the more obvious this becomes. Of course I should have just used Cytoscape from the beginning. Of course. -_-
