Only two photos from today's bike ride, which is good, given that it was a 55 km ride in 33 degree temperatures (more than 40 degree humidex). Felt pretty exhausted after. This summer's vacation riding program is to do 200 km per week - the idea is to let me do some longer rides without worrying about being on a schedule.
I went for a 54 km ride today. It was a sweltering 32 degrees and I didn't want to overdo it. Here are the photos: the trees are Warwick Forest, where I had lunch (boiled eggs on Andrea's home made bread, and a grapefruit) and the houses are from the village of Finch. A Look at the Future of Open Educational Resources - Both the English original and Chinese translation (translated by Junhong Xiao) versions are published in the International Journal of Open Educational Resources.
The Chinese translation is also published in Distance Education in China, a peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the Open University of China, where I have published a number of articles (all translated by Junhong Xiao).
@lauraritchie the short rides are on the trail bike, the longer rides are on the road bike (same bike from last year). I had lots of spoke problems early last year, and a lot of flats. This year I've been lucky.
@dajbelshaw I don't think we should use the term 'value' outside economic contexts. The idea of me having a 'value' always reduced to economic terms (though the medium may not be money). A person is an end in themselves, and not (as the term 'value' *always* entails) a means to some end.
