No system can be truly & completely centralized. No system can be truly & completely decentralized, either.

Decentralization is not the goal. Though it is quite useful, I fully admit. As is democracy.

I don't quite like the absolutist language of "Centralization is required to capture profit," but otherwise I find this wiki text at least somewhat enlightening.

And of course the word counter-anti-disintermediation is quite deliciously a mouthful, for sure.

Aside from being most certain I am unable to add anything productive to the debate, I'm also quite sure all the important details might as well be Ancient Sumerian to my muggle eyes-n'-ears.

I have faith though that most all involved are mature adults that are able to see the big-picture goals over the small trees.

I've decided to instance-block humblr.social because it's full of Tumblr refugees constantly posting unsolicited, un-CW'ed full-frontal nudity that keeps showing up on my federated timeline.

(Yea yea at least it wasn't constant guro and/or snuff films. Still tho.)

@selfcare Do you have a Twitter version? (Or does the latest incarnation of the public Twitter API effectively disallow such things?)
