They really should've gone with the moon base

@maloki they originally planned it to be a series of games on the new engine, with story archs and loose threads being connected and all that
then, at the very last (six months and a) minute, they decided it'd only be the one game, which we see today

which is a shame. there's room for more DX in the world

but they did sneak a reference to the moon base into this one, which was cut from the original when they realized they had to make it smaller ;)
