By the way, dear people in Germany, would anyone have tips on where to find a (hopefully trans-friendly if possible) psychologist, who would not be shitty about sexual traumas, around Hamburg, and who speaks English?

All questions which Josh Benaloh answers in his lecture. I found it quite interesting and understandable, even the technical homomorphic encryption parts. And the social concerns (coercion, secrecy) are nicely addressed too. But there's not a single electoral jurisdiction in the world that's applying any of these ideas.

Josh Benaloh gave a talk on "Elections with both Privacy and Integrity" based on homomorphic encryption. Until I attended this lecture, I had thought privacy and integrity in elections were mutually exclusive. https://crysp.uwaterloo.ca/speakers/20170313-Benaloh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC-rJX0Nmxg @strypey @jim

New #DNS service from #Cloudflare... Nice to have an alternative to #Google, but I'm not sure I like Cloudflare any better.. https://betanews.com/2018/04/01/cloudflare-dns-privacy-four-ones

I don't know how "Italian" it is, but you're welcome to steal my recipe and put some #LentilBalls on that platter https://sobac.com/wiki/Lentil_Balls

No, I like it the way you wrote it the first time. #Nouning the adjective. "Headache?" "Yeah, I was on a bad last night."

For people not already immersed in the subcultures of #FreeCulture or #FreeSoftware, the term #OpenWeb is not any more understandable than #IndyWeb or !Fediverse. But I agree that we should use a single term for consistency, so newcomers understand that all these things are part of the same movement, and #OpenWeb works for me.

I just came across #Gitter, apparently #YAMB ( #YetAnotherMicroBlog): https://gitter.im/ Now owned by #GitLab, but it has a repository on #GitHub, and I can't find any source code or license. Has anyone in the !Fediverse used it?
