@bryanlunduke @msh Not easy at all, but perhaps helpful: When talking is limited to one discussion and the account with false arguments could get the chance of returning and not doing some kind of "stalking" - had this on #Diaspora with pamphlets and insinuations - there could be a chance. You could evaluate the situation within the next days: Calling out an argument #antisemitic could help, because the person behind the account got the chance to think about.
Should a tolerant society tolerate intolerance? Man carrying torch with swastika tattoo on forehead: "You want more tolerance? Respect my ideas! The answer is NO.
It's a paradox, but unlimited tolerance can lead to the extinction of tolerance.
When we extend tolerance to those who are openly intolerant... ...the tolerant ones end up being destroyed. and tolerance with them.
Old man in pre-WWII German uniform with Hitler and Nazi imagery beside: "Let's give them a chance!"
Any movement that preaches intolerance and persecution must be outside the law.
As paradoxical as it may seem, defending tolerance... ...requires to not tolerate the intolerant.

What does this mean? Well, it would be nice to take in a few more maintainers to ensure the site code gets some desperately needed improvements, for example. There are several things that have been requested by community members which I (Jason Robinson) haven't had time to implement due to work ongoing with #Socialhome.
My personal wish would be to make The-Federation.info even more into a nice landing page for all #TheFederation / #Fediverse projects. This would mean not being constrained to just following servers running the #Diaspora protcol, but also including servers from #ActivityPub and #OStatus side, for example. The information is available out there, if not in exactly the same format, at least to some level.
If you are a #federated social web enthusiast, possibly even a maintainer of one of these projects and interested in improving the site, please get in touch, for example by replying here or chatting on FreeNode #thefederation channel, or directly to me. Please don't use private messages since those are not supported by this account yet.
So, I just published a tiny little blog post with my thoughts on #ActivityPub, #ActivityStreams, and related specifications. If you manage to finish reading it, you should have a pretty good understanding on how I see the world of social networking protocols, and you will get an answer to the question if whether is likely for #diaspora to support ActivityPub any time soon or not.
It's funny tho, I always plug #diaspora but don't log into it. I was gonna, but this fediverse gobbled all my social media attention leaving only a little for tumblr.

@mcscx2 @paulfree14 @fla Thanks for the picture and the ruleset. Exactly that's the point: #Diaspora is not a neutral piece of software and hosting a pod for more than private purpose is also some kind of responsibility. I had another discussion to read demonstrating the major problem of "freedom of speech". There are restrictions to be accepted: My freedom ends when it tends to restrict the one of others (including all earthlings), their dignity, their rights to handled fair and without discrimination.
