    #ShowerThoughts I'm envisioning an invite-only federation of educational #SocialNetwork instances, one per school, with connections between schools built up by a #WebOfTrust among the school staff who admin each instance. When students reach 18, their accounts would be portable to any other social network that allows account imports using an open standard (ideally including any #fediverse instance).

    I feel like there are more awesome things and they are being hidden from me.

    There are still plans to expand !fnetworks. Things are on hold due to my feast or famine employment schedule (and resulting financial peaks and valleys), but eventually, there should be multiple instances of #Fediverse software, #xmpp, and other federated things, most available under a unified Federati Networks account.

    Are there #YVR or #FraserValley meetups for #Mastodon #Fediverse people? I want to talk to fediverse people IRL but I have to limit it to locals because the line between giddiness and smugness of this returnee could be fuzzy to non-BC folk.
    I do have long-term friends but they're either sick or full with family and work commitments. I don't want to hear "you didn't know this? Where have you BEEN?" from them.

    I second that! I haven't seen much activity on the Matrix room yet. The new #SocialHub forum has a board called #Fediversity, which is for projects that provide info about the #fediverse, like fediverse.party, fediverse.network etc. Maybe we could have some coordinating discussion there?
