Me watching y'all expose yourself from PDT while y'all on CEST
to switch up the TL a bit; here's an archived video of my talk during the IndieWeb Summit last weekend in Portland

Me before for slight context
* whitelists are not a bad idea - that's low-key how you live life
* If someone has deep experience of harassment, hands off the keyboard, pencils up and take notes
* Avoid immediately defending your privelege and work to dismantle if you're in the camp of equity and equality
*Don't start none and there won't be none 👊🏿

@kev @ashfurrow @mike @announcements @tn5421@niu.moe @absturztaube that's an luxury only very few can exercise. I'm saying this as a Foss advocate

anyone know of a mailing list system that can do the following:
- host multiple mailing lists
- support unsub/sub via email
- have private/public support
- html/text archives
- is not mailman
@kensanata @cj bingo. This is how I view F/LOSS. I think it's impractical to teach everyone how to code (to a degree of recompiling software) but allowing for total control over how something works is more viable and will force developers and designers to think with this in mind
I wanna do everything
May I introduce y'all to the concept
"Restorative justice"

I still think that we need to look into making a "remote" moderation system that's decoupled from the software we use. Like I, as a user, could be able to submit a report to party Y and said instance can subscribe to their list for things people would want to block
@cwebber @AceNovo @PhilthePill I'm still working on a "What is ActivityDesk" post in my coming Patreon post but tl;dr: desktop landscape of social Web is being overlooked IMO and I wanna invest more in it
