@Elizafox @viomi @chr xmpp is probably the dodgiest chat protocol ive ever used, XMPP+OTR was a huge flying machine made out of 0days and buggy libraries glued together with the programming equivalent of spent motor oil. all the clients were really bad except that one android one. multidevice was hilarious because you never knew if you were sending to your firends offline devices and even OMEMO was wonky because youd end up using the persons *other* key without knowing it.

@PinkCathodeCat thats cool ass shit, if I could do that with an electric car Id be more tempted to use one. being able to overclock your engine would be cool. (theres still the issue of the transmission treating me like an idiot who cant drive, but itd be more tempting).

I know rudimentary stuff about opengl, I think I just need to slog through something in full and just try to use it more.

@viomi i poked dorian but after convincing him to try xmpp, tox and other softwares I think he has started to ignore it when I pitch wierd computer stuff to him XD

@chr hey I couldnt help but notice you were talking about opengl/sdl bingings and I was wondering if you knew of any good material I could use to learn how to wrap my head around the rendering pipeline.

I have had a game engine project on the backburners for months cause everytime I try to work on the renderer I get really intimidated...
