    Hello funkiller99 here.

Okay now that's done. I don't really like the gimmicky privacy policy things.

People making jokes are fine. I mean when the actual companies sending emails, are making the emails really jokey.

It's boring as hell, sure, but it's still an important thing. I know breaking the monotony is nice, but it comes across super "how do you do fellow privacy experts"

Can imagine so. I hope painkillers and, well, what meds you have, kick in for that, and as noted, your Katie is here.

It reminds me of when people go on about "artsy" games with stuff like "it's meant to be boring as hell because..." "It's meant to make you want to cut out your stomach with your apartment keys because..."

If it's "meant" to make you feel bad, naturally some people won't like it -because they don't want to feel negative-

You can't force them to admit it's good, they're never gonna enjoy it cos it's not for them.

I don't try and judge horror games because I hate being terrified. "It's meant to terrify you" means nothing to me, cos it's not the sort of thing I'm into. I won't say whether it's good or bad cos I dunno, it's not my thing.

    I suppose so.

Off topic (but on terms of DLC) ...how well did the New Collosus DLC do? I've heard -nothing- about that or if it's even out (I just assume so cos time)

I know I know "originality is dead" still making the post.

Every time I see a person say "this is a really creative premise" these days, it's a premise I've already seen done, and in most cases, better.

Is it cos of an acceptance that originality is gone, that we all just plug ourselves into a cycle of forgetfulness?

*honestly has to look up the female blood elfs name cos she's such a boring character*

Lady Liadrin was the one who led the Nightborne into that scenario, and she's the only one who was there during the whole thing.

She's so boring because she's always there for Belf stuff, but never has a hint of really caring that much, because she's gotten heavy into the paladin business. They could have done better with her and the blood knight ties, but instead she's thrown herself entirely into regular Paladin things, and have her act like she's basically a human.

    They should either
    A. Make her interesting by having her tie back into the blood knight stuff and her following the sight for redemption, which I'd be sad for cos that's no Lorthemar but at least it's fleshing out who they're using.

    B. Get rid of her/just make her a generic paladin NPC for class related stuff, and have Lorthemar partake in basically all the Belf scenarios he should be in, that she's replaced him in so far.

While you can't romance her in DA:I, she does have some cute comments about the romance with the Warden, especially if ya had the old god babby with her.

I have to assume it's meant to be a fanservice thing, cos while I'm not personally into him. Cullen has lusty female fans the same way [insert current boyband here] does.

But that's also why I don't get it. Those people are attached to -Cullen- not Greg Ellis. If they bring Cullen back, that would rightfully agitate a lot of people. If they don't, and Greg Ellis is voicing someone else, ...none of those fangirls would care, because as you note, Greg Ellis is hardly hypeworthy on his own.

It's the character all those fangirls like. So either he's in, they're pleased, other fans aren't. Or he's not, thank god, but the fangirls feel cheated.

If he's not been -told- to do this, this is a really stupid move on his part and something I'd imagine he'd get in a lot of trouble for.

If he's been told to do this (which one has to assume) it's just a needlessly long tease which everyone already figured out the answer to, from a character that would only ever be in 4 as a pure fanservice thing, and is dead in some peoples games.

Which for the record, it's not like Bioware has ever had issue bringing characters back from the dead, or forcing in characters just for fanservice. But that's not really a character you -ought to be trying to hype your game up with-

So, I'm a Dragon Age fan, so obvs I'm up for DA4.

But that motherfucking tweet thread by Greg Ellis is quite possibly the -worst- way to go about hyping it.

For those who don't know what I'm on about

This thread (from the guy mainly known in the games for voicing Cullen I suppose. Who is in all of them, from minor role to major-ish depending on which one you're on about)

Blizzard have either ended the story of, or fucked over, very nearly everything from the original games at this point. The idea that "if they'd not ended this one guy in this random occurence, their track record would change and they'd treat him well" is weird to me.

Mhm, used to recognize the style and characters, now it's -just- the characters, and they're ruined cos that sort of grungy deadness behind their eyes doesn't fit with the newer style.

Post that only people who know Warcraft lore and WoW will care about:

I've seen a lot of people saying the Blood Elves would be way more interesting if Kaelthas hadn't got writing-assasinated in the way he did during BC.

But...Lorthemar is still an interesting character, one of my personal favs, they just never fucking use him.

I don't know why people assume that if they'd not randomly murdered-off one character, that race would be written in more. They'd ignore Kaelthas just as much as they do Lorthemar now.

Plus, this is the arguably controversial bit. I prefer Lorthemar over Kaelthas, even when Kael was in his alleged pre BC "glory days"

This isn't about the quality of the actual music.

But does anyone else think the -art- quality of Gorillaz has gone down with the new stuff?

A lot of people say the music has (which I get, music comes first obviously in this case)

But I feel like the art style has really decreased. It had it's own sketchy aesthetic before, now it feels very plain.

I phrased that voiced by bit badly, in the reboot he's replaced, but his replacement is still British.

    It is British tho.

Mighta broadcast in other places, popular after all. But it was created by a British guy, Bob is voiced by a British guy (well was, before it got rebooted in...2015?) and originally produced in a British studio.

It's originally British through and through, just broadcast and dubbed over in other countries.
