6. Final comment (unless I think of summin more later)
@maiyannah is gorgeous and I love her lots.
This is okay as a Katie HotTake. It's a take, about a hot woman.

5. There's nothing inherently wrong with critiquing online shows, in this case DnD shows but I'm sure it applies to plenty else too.
The reasoning "it's -their- game" works in the case of not being a raging asshole about your critique, and insulting the people involved. Personal insults goes beyond, of course.
But too many people, when faced with critique, go "it's -their- game!" as though it deflects any genuine criticism.
It stopped being 100% -their- game, when they started putting it online for tons of people to watch. People are justified to give honest critique to something that's meant to entertain them as a viewer.

@sim
I'm not an expert, but...well for me, these things always hurt. There's no true 'getting over it' because it happened, it's awful, and it'll impact you as a person.
So...all one can do it say, yeah it happened, but it's not happening -now- and try and grow stronger because of that.
To me, just because I cry over things that happened in the past, and still do mind you when thinking back on them. Doesn't mean I can't garner strength from them. My sadness when thinking of them is understandable, it was an awful situation, but...in looking towards the future, I've faced that, I've been through awful things, so I can deal with more now.
TLDR: I don't find shame in still being affected by past things, and I don't think one can truly 'get over' them. But I do think they can be used to deal with the future with more strength, knowing that the experiences I face -now- are not the same.

4. On the topic of Blizzard. In terms of "Games that still have a playerbase"
The current best two Blizzard games are Heroes of the Storm, and Diablo 3, and holy fuck does that speak to something.
-
3. The WoW story has fallen off completely in terms of writing, to the same extent that SWTOR has. It'll just manage a lot better cos Blizzard.
-
@sim
Depends on the specific circumstance.
Usually not, least for me. Tends to leave me in a state of regret, and we can't change what's in the past so.
On the other hand, as cliche as it sounds, it's possible to learn and grow from even the most awful of experiences.
The problem with the latter is that it takes a -lot- of work, and it'll still hurt revisiting the thoughts.

1. I know this probably makes me the Queen of Unfun boringbits to a few people (and they may well be right!)
But...I have...zero interest in Rage 2 whatsoever.
I mean, the first and obvious reason, bit worried about Avalanche after Just Cause 3.
Secondly. I feel like one of the very few indiviuals who...is really turned away from "YO DUDE GO CRAZY EXPLOSIONS WOOP WOOP YEAH BRO" style stuff. It seems to be fully embracing that and...well the only times I can truly remember enjoying that sort of "Everyone scream about how insane we totally are!" is when it's a direct parody of that sort of thing.

-No actual hard evidence.
-Ex and current staff members have replied and said what he's saying is bullshit.
-Interview posted and comments being made, just before Obsidians next game comes out.
-This all happening on RPGCodex who practically worship the guy.
-Gets angry and defensive when people are suspicious.
-Nearly every comment he's made is filled with emotional angle, shows bias, and misses key context.
-Multiple people have pointed out that he doesn't seem to actually understand how businesses and contracts operate, enough to be saying what he is about them.
The only way this could be MORE suspicious, is if he wore a fake nose and glasses and introduced himself as Mr Totally Truthful the Third.

@maiyannah
Pretty much
-
Cos yknow.
Heavily over the top defensive when people are suspcious of your motivations, is nevvveeerrr something liars and the guilty do. Oh noooooo, not at all.
-
For context, that dude does argue with and express repeated suspicion of Avellone's statements. (Unlike the other 99% of that thread)
But err, if you're trying to get people to believe you're some mistreated victim, this isn't the way to react to those who don't believe you without evidence.
