@annika when my friends where expecting their third kid, me and my husband where called in at three in the morning to baby sit the two others.
I'd slept like 3 hours when I was poked in the ribs by two kids standing next to the bed going "we usually eat breakfast at 6:30 and its almost 7 right now".
Trying to get them to grasp that it was ok to be late for school and kindergarten today, was just impossible.

And sometimes Purple was "technical" and Orange "creative" or differences in community's etc.
Plus the purple, being darker used as background for the terminal.

I thought of installing Artix Linux for funsies - I don't have a beef with SystemD at all (99 times out of a 100 I am such a scrub that I don't even notice the change to Systemd) but I thought... you know, maybe this is a fun thing for me?

I trust vaccines because of doctors. The medical community. Friends who do medical research or work within that field.

Not because of "what I read online". It's a sensible opinion to distrust everything, even something basic like sleeping, but to go from there to distrusting all experts based on hear-say (and it is hear-say) isn't sensible.

Reading the transcript from the Solus devs talk about the project and its future and, since that is a chunk of it, about Ikey (whom I kinda miss talking to tbh).

This is a part about FOSS and Linux that is often missed completely: that all of it, no matter how technical, are social endeavours. There is this fantasy that they can be disconnected from human life ("political things") which time and again proves to be nonsense. It's ALL about humans in the end.

A day to celebrate that you, me, everyone isn't nuclear vapour right now.
SP - disobeyed orders and military protocol, used his own thinking, and by doing so averted nuclear retaliation based on false alarms that would likely have caused a mass nuclear war in 1983.

Stanislav Petrov, often referred to as "The man who saved the world" died in December 2017
