Your photos look great.
Was there just snow on the tops?
Our snow turned to slush this morning, and is now gone. Suddenly got much milder and wetter (grrrr).

I've only just discovered halloumi. I've known about it for yonks, never eaten until a few days ago. It is similar to feta, but has this interesting property of going rubbery (in a nice way) when cooked.
It went well with my garlic roasted chicken, which I had for lunch. I will need to experiment with other dishes. I can see cheese & tomato would go well together.
Reading about halloumi suggests that it would be an easy cheese to make at home.
@kensanata
Thanks.
The photographer's not bad either.

Not on the list even though it has a lower rating than any on the Bottom 100 (1.3 stars)

When I say view, I mean the list, not the films. π
*Only dictatorships jail peaceful political leaders.*
It isn't just Forcadell.
Nine leading Catalan politicians have been in jail for over 12 months awaiting trial. Potentially facing 25 year sentences for sedition. Four of the imprisoned are on hunger strike.
In Europe, in the 21st century.
Why?
For trying to achieve independence democratically.
Free Forcadell
Speaker of the Catalan Parliament, Carme Forcadell, has been held in prison for 266 days (pre-trial) for allowing a debate on self-determination.

The film tries to be funny, but doesn't achieve it. Huston made some of my favourite films, including Asphalt Jungle & The Maltese Falcon. Many of his films included humorous (witty) dialogue, but not comedy. Ultimately the director is responsible for the finished product, although I'm sure I'd read Capote was the major writer for Devil.
You're right about Capote & Tiffanys, his novella had a different Mr Yunioshi.

Jennifer Jones was the best thing in the movie, Gina Lollobrigida a close second. Lorre didn't have enough screen time. During the Arabia scene I was cringing.

So, is that why it is called birdsite?
Added "Beat The Devil" (1953), you can watch it here:

Very strange film, not because anything surreal happens, but because the whole tone is very... odd.
The cast and crew are A-list: directed by John Huston, screenplay by Truman Capote, starring Humphrey Bogart etc.
In theory it's a comedy about grifters waiting for a ship to leave an Italian port, but in practice it's extremely dialogue-heavy and off-beat. Almost experimental.
@kinosocial
Just so happened I watched Beat the Devil two months ago, as a #FridayFilm

Reportedly Humphrey Bogart wanted to make the film as it gave him a chance to poke fun at some of his iconic roles. Bogart & director John Huston were best of friends.

Aviemore area, was it?
Welcome back. Looking forward to hearing about the DVDs, as well.

Pub tradition since the dawn of time, I should think.
Fat guys swilling beer, what do you think is going to happen?

I'd wholeheartedly recommend Borg backup. Not GUI, but very easy to use.
I had a home-knitted solution using hard-links. Borg is about 10-20 times faster than my own solution. On servers I have Borg run by cron. On my laptop, I have Borg included in a shutdown script, once the backup is complete the system halts.
