Members of the dominant culture are saying they "feel excluded". This is a phrase which was developed for the purpose of helping to encourage inclusion of those who have, in fact, been excluded -- but in this case, it is being used as a protest *against* inclusion, i.e. usage of Māori words (representation of minority culture) in high-profile media venues.

Does that make sense?

It seems very much analogous to complaints of "when do we get White History Month?" here in the US.
