@Ulfra_Wolfe eek. :-(
At least you know it won't just keep getting worse now?
Poor sick doggie. :-( <strokes gently>

@Ulfra_Wolfe Is that the diagnosis from your doctor visit? Did they give you anything for it?
@gannet 'Tis just a bit cold, isn't it.
It may be too late to learn from history.

I've lost track of the #Gimp devs I was talking with on Masto earlier... but two things about the rotate tool:
1. Don't change the transparency mode while rotating. I've got two scans of a large sheet of paper and I'm trying to align them -- so I have the top layer in "darken only" mode, so I can see how they align -- but as soon as I start to rotate, the back layer disappears.
2. PSP had a tool where you draw a line over a piece that should be horizontal, & it gets corrected. Gimp lacks this.
I *think* this is done now...
It's long, but broken up into 4 pieces with navigation and stuff.
@SinaCutie Oh, you too? I've been migrating mine for weeks now. (Probably would have gone a lot faster if they weren't just my servers, and other people were depending on me.)
I believe the latter are called "instinctive survival drives" -- often using a service like GoFeedMe or IndieGestYou.
I'm more like BUY ALL THE DOMAINS and then never do anything with most of them, and let the registration lapse 3 years later.
...and then finally get motivated to do something, but a domain-squatter is now trying to sell the domain, submit your bids here.
If Terry Pratchett were still alive, I fully expect there would now be Wight Nationalists on Discworld.
Speaking as a maybe-recovering domregiholic, I probably should not say anything.
<.< >.>
<is ready to sign on to create a national progressive pizza delivery chain so I don't have to order from right-wing futhermuckers ever again>
I mean, have we stopped wondering?
Yep. It's horribly wrong in terms of the common good, but it works in terms of effecting change for smaller-sized groups. It works best for people who are willing/able to trade individuality for herd-protection.
@Elizafox It means you believe in the accumulation and exercise of power as a goal in its own right, which is basically right-wing/fascist philosophy in a nutshell.
Right-wingers do actually find punch-down humor funny, I believe.
People often disparage ideas as "just reinventing the wheel".
"The wheel" isn't a concrete thing; it's an abstract concept. Actual physical wheels have specific purposes that are usually exclusive.
Sometimes what's available is a wagon wheel, and what you need is a bicycle wheel. Or just a larger wagon wheel. New implementations are being designed all the time.
That's not "reinventing"; that's re-engineering. There's nothing redundant about it.
...or in other words:
Good morning, Mastodon!
Goodnight, Mastodon. I'll most likely toot you in the morning.
Hugs are always welcome, especially from you.
I offer a similar quantity in return. ...well, okay, maybe a bit more. (I always was a sucker for a certain blend of pain, alienation, and empathy.)
Well.
I'll count that as my major accomplishment for today. ^.^
(Also seriously.)
Stuff. Things. *sigh*
I have so many feels about all this.
I think I mainly just want to find the words that will help you not feel alone.
Part of the reason I will probably always fail at this is that you are so damn smart, and your negative-voice-parasites get dibs on a large part of that. (Also, I always sucked at chess, even though as a "brainy" kid it was assumed it would be my natural element.)
You don't have to be human.
Also, <curse words; rageface>.
