@dcgirl I believe they mean "I don't want Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, and I'm willing to use hyperbole to make my opinion seem more important."

Combaticus (combaticus@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 18-Sep-2018 13:59:52 EDT Combaticus @SirBemrose I also wonder if the reason is their thinking defies logic/common sense. So, a blanket policy is next to impossible, because there's no way to articulate the ever-growing list of infractions and sins, unlike: love your neighbor as your self.
Thus, rather than adhere to something that is sensible, they have to enumerate every variation of transgression, like the book of Leviticus.
Heaven help the offender. Social Justice knows no mercy.

Sir Ryan Bemrose (sirbemrose@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 18-Sep-2018 13:41:20 EDT Sir Ryan Bemrose Why do social justice advocates always insist on explicitly listing the dozen or so ways that Thou Shalt Not Discriminate, rather than adopting a blanket be nice policy?
The only reason I can think of is to make it easier and more acceptable to discriminate based on reasons that didn't make the list.

Combaticus (combaticus@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Sunday, 16-Sep-2018 17:47:45 EDT Combaticus @SirBemrose Agreed. Especially when these same companies claim they are not in the content business and they are just providing a platform. They want it both ways: no responsibility/liability for what users post on their platform, but total control over what gets posted.
I wonder if someone can use the censorship actions to sue them for copyright infringement, proving they are no mere impartial platform, and thus responsible for everything posted. That would sort things out in a hurry.

Sir Ryan Bemrose (sirbemrose@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Sunday, 16-Sep-2018 16:42:34 EDT Sir Ryan Bemrose Let's get this straight: When a social network bans you based on your political views, IT IS censorship and IT IS a violation of the right to freedom of speech. It doesn't matter that they're a "private" company. They have power to block dissenting opinions from participation in a public forum. What it's not is a violation of the First Amendment, which only the US government can do.
People who claim that it can't be censorship if it isn't the government are spreading fake news.

Sir Ryan Bemrose (sirbemrose@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 11-Sep-2018 16:25:08 EDT Sir Ryan Bemrose @gmcgath Good point. I should have said third greatest. America has had multiple movements away from its liberty-loving beginnings.
Still, that previous generations had examples of government tyranny in does not lessen the severity of the current generation's tyranny.

Never forget how this one event was used as the excuse for the greatest authoritarian power-grab in US history. On this day, we commemorate the rise of the American security state.
So take off your shoes, remove your laptop from your bag, and join me in saying:
HAPPY TERRORISM DAY, everyone!

You can have the list as-is if you'd like. Or I can help out in some kind of "collab".

In the morning
I'm looking at editing together a "Producer's choice best of" show for @adam and @Johncdvorak
I need your help. Let me know the time code and episode number of any bits, with a brief description, and I'll look at putting a couple of shows together for the up and coming breaks our guys will need
Maybe use #NABestOf as a hashtag....or not...we're grown ups and probably shouldn't
Please boost and tell your friends
Thank you for your courage

Sir Ryan Bemrose (sirbemrose@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Thursday, 06-Sep-2018 01:19:51 EDT Sir Ryan Bemrose Advertising and marketing techniques have been developed that make many people feel they need things that their grandparents never desired or even dreamed of. It requires serious effort to earn enough money to satisfy these artificial needs. Modern man must satisfy his need for the power process largely through pursuit of the artificial needs created by the advertising and marketing industry.
