So after five months of owning an iPhone, I just discovered that it has a task switcher that comes up when you double-click the home button.

I believe Gemstone Smalltalk does this. Certainly, classic Smalltalk will save and restore the entire global memory state to a file; Gemstone (AIUI) dribbles its object state out to a database/

Wierd. About half of my steam games suddenly have an update queued.

Rule 1 for new Linux users:
Don't try too hard.

If something looks more difficult than you think it should be, take 5 minutes and look at the documentation again.

A hardcopy of a current Linux guide is probably a good investment, but even the forums for your distribution of choice will help a lot.

The trick is to adjust your expectations from (e.g.) "today I will work on $PROGRAM" to "today I will work on updating my dependencies."
