@codesections I've used DO for years and never had an outage. Even planned maintenance (which they notify you of) has never resulted in impact.

@ivan I have a Garmin smart watch, so I use the Garmin Connect app to track my runs. Not sure if it works without a watch.

@mike yeah you can! Couch to 5k is a great app for anyone new to running. I used to do a lot of running in the army, so am still fairly fit (for a fat bloke).

There's a definite skill to running. It takes time to learn, but once you know, it's easier than you think.

First run today, still REALLY hot (high 20s), but I've been putting off running for too long because of the heat. Managed just shy of 2.5 miles in a little over 28 mins. In this heat, I'd have been happy with anything under 30 mins.

@b I'm using Fastmail. You can use their app for calendar, but it's awful (mail is great on it though) I'm using CalDAV to sync my cal, but I'm using CalDAV-sync it isn't free, but it is cheap.

I had a lot of problems with DavDroid. Would never use it again.

@mike I didn't go for a really expensive one, it's a Rii. Was around $30 from Amazon. Does me just fine, and it way better than my crappy chicklet one.

Played some guitar for the first time in a few months...my finger tips feel like they have been through a belt sander. I should really practice more.

@brandon you have not lived, my friend. They're sooooo much better. I'm feel like I'm typing on my old Amiga 600 again. It's awesome!

It's got the proper notches on "J" and "F" for touch-typing, the lot. I'm very pleased.

I am sick of having chicklet keyboards everywhere I go. Whatever happened to the good old mechanical keyboard?

I can't actually feel the keys on a chicklet keyboard, as they're basically scrabble tiles with little tactile feedback. So, I've bought myself a couple of mechanical keyboards (one for home, one for work).

Very happy so far,they're backlit too, which is cool. Plus, special bonus...IT HAS A NUMLOCK LIGHT!

@ohyran thanks for the info. I don't really use widgets etc. I basically use it as a favourites bar, so Plank seems to be doing the job for me at the moment. 😃

@ohyran I'm actually using Plank as my dock at the moment. Is Latte any better?
