oh, right. i mean, uh, yeah why don't people just go and blast up a celebrity place? it's almost as if they only hit the stupid slaves out in public every time.
while they were yakking, an image flashed through my head... well, not so much an image as a weird metaphorical machine.
a multilevel seesaw where each seesaw balances money on itself. the lower rungs swing quickly and the higher rungs swing slowly back and forth between protectionism and free trade.
could even extend the image to be where either side of one see-saw is like "usa" and "mexico" and up and down are either economic policy.
i have no comment other than giggling. i don't keep up with this nonsense unless it falls directly into a list of things i absolutely have to know about.
@xahlee says the spec isn't done yet, either. something about " For example, Microsoft explicitly stated that they would not even look at SVG 2 until the specification was a Candidate Recommendation."
candidate recommendation?
meh. standards bullshit.
"So even if the spec gets to some state of finished, [...]"
@xahlee yeah, gargler is annoying like that. like i said, tried their darnedest.
who knows, yeah. i mean, people still use IRC and it's a terrible specification.
it just seems like once one person fully adopts svg 2.0, everybody else will, too. whenever that happens. maybe it'll skip svg 2.0 and go to svg 3.0 and then software will output svg 3.0 formats and browsers will render it.
also, a lot of other things use svg formats that aren't browsers... which may also be a way to get it going
