@maloki @maiyannah open, honest, direct, lead developer of #postActiv an #gnusocial fork. Also sometimes critical about some developer dynamics incl. #mastodon. A voice worth listening and to support.
Anyways, others can carry on doing whatever they like, but if you want changes in postActiv, discuss them here, consider that a bit of an official position. Ideally, in the !postActiv group.
The fix for MySQL 5.7 problems is getting merged into !postActiv now after not having any issues on the dev box and then Plateia for a bit, let me know if anyone has any issues. #postActiv
And as I finally reach this milestone I'd like to thank all the people who have supported the project, be it with code, or by administering a postActiv instance that people can use, spreading the word about the fediverse to friends and family, or with financial support via our patreon. Your support of !postActiv and the fediverse at large does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated! #postActiv
I have alts in case I need to use them, but: * @lnxw37@quitter.se -- Q.SE is only federating intermittently * @zordon -- Masto.Soc has a bug which prevents people using certain versions of Chrome/Chromium from viewing notices * @n0admin -- n0 is also affected by the issue * @lnxw37a1 -- LA is currently down for a migration and the domain renewal is pending * @lnxw37b1 -- Plateia is currently unable to federate due to a PHP bug.
@freyo @maiyannah Well, I'm going to have to delay that. I've been home two weeks after nearly continuous 22 months on the road. But I'm heading back out and cannot say when time / schedule + #hotel_inet + energy / focus will all be in place at the same time.

Maiyannah Bishop@sungo GNU social included a patch recently to try to fix a misbehaving node that would leave connections hanging with just keep-alive packets. The end result was that feeds ended up cut off early in almost every case, and as a result postActiv (and GNU social) would discard the feeds as malformed, so you would not get passive subscriptions, just salmon direct notifications.
