True story: I had this record growing up, and interpreted the line "we've been good but we can't last" as "it's winter and we're insects, Christmas, so hurry up and arrive before we die off."

(And yes, the "all right you chipmunks" at the beginning never made sense in that context.)

I prefer dark meat (and we all love leftovers) so I'm doing a whole bird. My good meat thermometer went walkies in a previous move and I should have written it off and bought another before now, but oh well. I have a non-instant one, at least.

@BrightEyedDyer Turkey breast is fairly hard to mess up (provided you have a meat thermometer). It's the whole bird, with its wildly-disparate-cooking-time parts, that poses challenges. If you spatchcock it that solves most of those problems, but that's an adventure of its own (though a good butcher will do it for you).

@gemlog Yeah, it's fun to watch ads like that, as the various bottom-feeders apparently base ads off each others ads, each tweaking them slightly in hopes of triggering a new keyword match, until they've mutated so far they can't possibly hope to get a successful candidate.

(Also the job will involve "thought leadership" so yeah, that recruiter is clearly just building a keyword salad.)

@musicman Provisionally, yes. It will get slightly mushier so cook it al dente, and more so if it's frozen with sauce so freeze them separately if possible.

@garbados 17yo (old enough to vote, next round, and he's FIRED. UP.) is currently on the phone with Ajit Pai's voicemail while simultaneously reading about mesh networking, so... there might be hope for the future either way.
