@estebanm I suspect there's *some* of that involved, yeah. I chased it down enough to remember "ohhh, that's right, the chat app wants access to ERRYTHING on my phone" and move on. But I did do the manual update so, go team me, I guess.

@ben0_o Same here, but eventually I thought "huh, someone else has probably chased this issue down" and yep, they had.

Still never found the alleged chat messages, though.

tl;dr: look at that page if you have Keybase on Linux, and

I am gamehawk there too, though they still don't verify Mastodon accounts.

Most awkward communication process ever:

1. Get an email from Keybase telling me I have a chat message from a founder (I do not follow him).

2. There is no indication on the provided link that I have a chat message, the desktop app isn't saying boo.

3. Grep birdfeed for "keybase chat chris" and find that it was a really, really complicated way to try/fail to tell Linux users about an expired key: https://keybase.io/docs/the_app/linux_expired_key

I mean, I get that sending the link might look like phishing, but c'mon.

Every few months, conditions are right for sonic booms to be carried in off the ocean from the big test range a ways offshore. Heard/felt a bunch of them this morning, the first since we moved thirty-some miles inland.

Predictably, one of the local papers ran the usual "OH EM GEE WHAT COULD IT BE?!" article.

Pretty cool how the Salmon protocol specification isn't in an rfc so it is now all 404'd up because Google changed something.

@ben0_o Weirdly, my son never put stuff in his mouth. He'd pick stuff up and visually inspect it, from as early as he could crawl. He wasn't a picky eater, either, so it was odd. I had to retrain myself when I helped take care of my sister's twins, who were a little more normal in that regard.

(Of course, she had a basset hound mix, so it wasn't like anything physically eatable EVER stayed on their floor...)
