@freemo @mangeurdenuage I didn't do anything special so I think it just works?
Maybe I'm forgetting something, I don't know…
-
@drak I don't know, I guess perfect sci-fi in that regard is Brazil %).

> Flatpak is incredibly useful for working on free software, so it pisses me off a little when people say it's only useful for shipping proprietary software. That is only a side effect of it's abilities, not the purpose.
@brainblasted Unfortunately it's very useful for software that has a convoluted building process.

> Making a Steve Jobs 1% better at being Steve Jobs has instant >1% improvement on world. For a while.
@vgr Making Steve Jobs 1% better at inventing silos would have an instant >1% improvement on the world's silosness?
Interesting point.

@steckerhalter And call it PubZilla?
-
> King Arthur is practically Roman era, forget about all that Knightly Chivalry nonsense.
@inspectorcaracal Are you saying everything I've learnt from Monty Python and the Holy Grail is wrong?
-
@maiyannah No one expects the fun police!
-
@maiyannah How inaccurate.
"Hippity-hoppity, there's no private property" :-P.
Just casually walking by and correcting funny pictures %).

@bob How am I going to not notice though? If I'm *connecting* to a server, and if the bugger won't work without the Internet, then…
I don't think I get it.
-
@szbalint Every time I see "serverless architecture", I futily try to remember what the heck that is, I only remember that it's not the same as "distributed" / "peer-to-peer". Apparently my view on the world makes it really hard to make sense of any other interpretation of the term %).

@brainblasted Odysseus? Huh, haven't heard about that one…
Is it like a replacement for Midori or something?
I remember times when everyone was discussing Midori, recommending it, criticising it, waiting for bugs to get fixed…
-
@are0h Will you update your avatar %)?
-
@brainblasted Like GNOME Web? Weird but I cannot think of many more.
Qt moving away from WebKit to Chromium/Blink has changed things in that regard a lot…
-
@moonman I've sworn an oath never to listen to a dub given the opportunity not to.
The original sound is 80% of the time better.
There are exceptions of course. Scrubs in a Russian dub has a lot more identity than the original sound. That show was a big hit in Russia too.
-
@bob Forbidding any kind of people from using the software is literally against the definition of free software, thus something like that will never be accepted into the GPL licence.
It is just how it is.
