@drak Thing is, one never truly really knows until it's all actually implemented in real life… -

@paralithode I am only now reading this and phew, that's exactly what I did today anyway :-). -

@drak Indeed. But that wouldn't be science fiction, would it :-)? -

@are0h I mean, why are you regretting taking German in high school instead of Spanish? Was it the quality of education of German compared to Spanish? Or qualities of the languages themselves?
Or something cultural like Spanish simply being more relevant in the contemporary United States? -

@are0h Because of how it was taught, you mean? -

@moonman I suspect it's their way of intensifying the message.
For the kind of people who would need such a warning in the first place. -

@brainblasted If it's actual real science with no leaps, then the world would look pretty much like ours technologically.
I guess what you mean is for the show to utilise plausible theories and hypotheses :-). -

@notclacke The difference is a lot – biboumi doesn't connect IRC rooms to !xmpp MUCs at all, instead it allows you to join IRC rooms as XMPP MUCs being a transport from one to another.
And it has NickServ integration, persistency ("bouncer") and all that. -

@wowaname Compatibility and, well, need.
If a screen is not touch, it's just not that big of a deal. -

@matejlach @oreolek Clearly there should also be a system of automatic reply :-D.
One sends a templated request message through the programme, and then the programme on the scientist's level parses and replies with an attachment.
What an unnecessary complication, it's perfect. -

@devurandom Are you admitting of having au automobile fetish or something :-)?
It's just a tool, you know. It gets one from point A to point B.
It's okay to care about these things but only until they become, well, harmful. -

@notclacke biboumi is not like that, it's a transport, practically an IRC client. -
