@Concerned_Catgirl As an aside, a vast majority of my partners are trans people, in one expression or another. Some are within the binary, others exist outside of it, or between it.

If anything, I am painfully aware of the problem you're describing, having had to bear witness to discrimination in one form or another, having attended many vigils, and having to take over a decade to rebuild burned bridges with a family that refuses to even attempt to understand me.

@Concerned_Catgirl I only used it in reference to the pre-transition online subculture that has reclaimed the word, because in my mind that definition is a positive one.

Frankly I find that interpretation of the term to be much more positive, but I also do not unilaterally apply it to all trans people.
