@spz Huh, Thanks. I had no idea. I use tweetdeck all day and use copious amounts of columns, so this makes me happy :D

@Gargron Scroll horizontally? I only have 4 columns taking up 2/3 my screen width, can I have more?

@kev I use syncthing as a replacement for dropbox. Sync to my home server and my devices. Works great.

@ChrisWere @Strit @kev I'm not a developer but it's a great event. Tons of like minded people in the same place. Belgian beer and waffles also help.

@kev @ChrisWere Every so often I consider actually making some content, but then worry I'm just adding to the world's woes. One day, maybe. I think I have a better face for radio then youtube though, tbh :D

@davmor2 I don't have a lot of windows I would move around for 'work' or 'non-work' so wouldn't find it easy to separate things.

@ChrisWere @kev I want to see you succeed. You're an intelligent, articulate, knowledgable chap who actually does research. I wish there were more like you on YT. Too many people just turn on the camera, babble like a village idiot, spewing their ill-informed reckon on the world and get thousands of views in the process. So disheartening, especially when they're wrong, but have an audience. xkcd 386 strikes again.

@ChrisWere @kev .. but what do others in this apace do that works, pulls in views and keeps people engaged? What are you doing differently that isn't working. The only way to change outcomes is to change inputs, I imagine (again, as a non-expert in this area). 2/2

@ChrisWere @kev Far be it from me (a non-youtuber, but pro-consumer of youtube ;) ) to make suggestions. But I find it difficult to watch the long rambly videos. Something tight and focused is easier to digest than something which meanders a lot. Now, I realise I am but one viewer, and everyone has their preference. Also note that rambling is somewhat your 'schtick', and nobody wants a thousand same-as videos. 1/2

@kev @ChrisWere Also, separately, live streams seem quite popular and community oriented. I have recently been getting on a number of live streams as they have essentially replaced my LUG as my community of like-minded friends. Sadly your live streams seem to always start as I am going to bed, so I have yet to see a single one. :(
