    "A virtuous cycle everybody benefits from". Everyone except libre developers/users in countries with e-patents of course. #opus, #av4 and #codec2 are excellent examples what can happen when open cooperation is employed

    I wonder what could be done if the folks in the libre codec development scene were given just a fraction of those hundreds of millions of USD. Since we unfortunately still have to pay rent and such

    I'd just like to make everyone aware of the megatools package in Debian, which is a set of tools similar to youtube-dl or svtplay-dl but for mega.nz. megadl does the usual "just download this URL plz" but there's also megals, megaput, megadf etc

    Sunday project: trying to draw a structure for mounting solar panels on in #FreeCAD. Spoiler: it went so-so, partly due to the lack of an assembly workbench in FreeCAD 0.16, the version in Debian stable. Assembly is available in the dev version of FreeCAD, which would require compiling it myself. Don't feel like doing that yet.
