I think the concept of "men" is intrinsically a problem. It reinforces a default that there is a structure of progress from baby > child > boy > man which is a dynamic that contains a conclusion that I think is false. As a young human I was scared of growing older cause there was an assumption that eventually I would become "a man" and that was revolting to me. The idea that we can redefine manhood to positive results seems bound to failure.

real vs fake are the wrong words really. The language we are using to describe language exemplifies the point I'm trying to make. Concepts like homelessness, reinforce a way of thinking about the world in a very specific way, they reinforce a certain mythos.

The part I was referring to was about how the design of English as a language encourages a certain type of story telling. A certain mythmaking. I think the idea of building a langue that leads you to certain types of truths or ways of thinking is a powerful idea. The author of this blog post congratulates the concept of "fake news" because it's honestly a truer statement about all news. It's all fake cause it realies on this function of language to weave stories.
