It wouldn't be a problem in a world where digital signatures were widely understood and used, but alas, that's a fantasy world.

@Wolf480pl @deshipu @kensanata Pro tip! 4 digit PINs with 3 unique digits are more secure than PINs with 4 unique digits against attacks based on finger prints/smudges/wearing down of labels. An attacker doesn't know which of the 3 digits is the duplicate, and there are thus more possibilities to brute force than with 4 unique digits.

@sparcipx I'd be interested to hear more about how you straightened the rear dropouts, I have another project bike where I *think* that might need doing. Did you use Sheldon Brown's trick of sawing an axle in half to use as an improvised measuring device?

@pkotrcka Argh, good catch! The problem was avoiding over-exposure, so I should have been talking about minimum aperture, i.e. how far they can stop down, not maximum. That'd be f14 on the Yashica compared to f32 on my 50mm FD. So the Canon rig is still overall about two stops more capable at handling super-bright conditions. Sorry for the confusing write-up, I'll correct it so that what I have written matches what I was thinking. :)

@sparcipx How's that project going? I have put relatively detailed logs of my single speed Franken-Peugeot projct up on my gopherhole. *Finally* figured out which frame I have - it's a P9, a strange, 1985-only fully lugged version of the internally brazed P8. For some reason it took them an extra year to switch the largest frame sizes over from lugs.
