.oO crypto, from greek kryptós, means hidden, e.g. cryptography, hidden writing. now consider crypto money: transactions go in a public ledger: opposite of hidden. it's only crypto money when you lose the key to the wallet, then it's more like kryptonite

ouso dizer que sim. considere uma pessoa trabalhadora artesanal que compra insumos para produzir e vender algum bem ou serviço. seu trabalho normalmente não conta como insumo, mas agrega valor ao produto e, na venda, segundo entendo, acaba contando como lucro, e me parece perfeitamente justo. injusto seria se o trabalho dela não tivesse valor. por outro lado, mesmo se a mão de obra contar como mais um insumo, não como lucro, ainda assim há espaço para um "lucro justo" se a pessoa conseguir produzir e oferecer o mesmo bem ou serviço com maior eficiência. me parece que seria injusto ter de repassar todo o benefício da maior eficiência produtiva ao cliente, até porque obtê-la e mantê-la requer investimento, um risco que não é o cliente quem assume. isso tudo é fácil de entender porque funcionava já na era pré-industrial. o lucro injusto normalmente é o que vai pro bolso de quem explora o trabalhador

uhh... I don't really know. I'd used GNU on SunOS and Solaris on sparc for 5+ years before I "inherited" the volunteer sysadm position at a uni research lab that had some GNU/Linux PCs, but I have no recollection of what distro that was. that was in 199[56]. it might have been Red Hat [GNU/]Linux, because I recall reinstalling/upgrading lab machines with it later on, without thinking (or knowing) much about the issue. it was pretty much the same GNU I was used to, and that was what mattered to me. I even built myself most of the GNU packages on it, as I'd done on other base systems and arches while doing sysadmin work for the department, so that whatever the original base system was, I actually ran GNU on them ;-)

I'm pretty sure that if someone fails to make a point, that doesn't offer any evidence whatsoever that a different point holds, unless the other point is that the person can't make the point.
e.g., if I fail to convince you that 2+2=4, or even that 2+2=5, that doesn't prove that 2+2=6. suggesting that it does is fallacious at best

estou vendo várias manchetes a respeito numa página de rosto do brasil247 arquivada recentemente (*), mas teria bastantes dificuldades para ver cada uma delas. pelo menos as que eu vi deram crédito pela investigação. estou curioso sobre qual foi a sacanagem do 247.
(*) não consigo ler diretamente, o brasil247 bloqueia acessos via nós de saída do Tor, e eu estou num nó de saída do Tor :-(

battery consumption can grow for having to communicate with a distant towers. I suspect this is not what drives power use up in crowded areas; you're probably not falling back onto a distant tower, but rather having to retransmit often due to collisions within partially-overlapping cells
