To be honest, I don't want an emotional bond with my computer. I has plenty of exposure to early Macs (well, System 6 through 9 Macs), and found the OS to be user-obsequious, and annoying.

Yet, I switched to the Mac right as that transition to a "well-made screwdriver" kicked into gear, and I much prefer my computer to be that. I don't want my computer to intrude on my emotions, I want it to do what I need it to do.

Did the core land? I might have missed it. Also, how's Elon gonna get his car back?

I'm with Anil Dash on Birdsite. I hope this is a prelude to being able to shoot Peter Thiel into space. Anil want to shoot Thiel into the Sun. I say shoot Thiel the other direction and let him float in the void for as long as it takes for him to fall into the gravity well of a planet and burn up.

@hypolite Oh, yeah, most marketing is pretty gross. But if you're marketing something that's actually good and makes the world better, I'm totally good with that. And am a firm believer that the performing arts are a net good for the world. The more people I can expose to them, the better.

I'm kinda hoping I won the JoCo Cruise tickets, but I'm also kinda hoping I didn't, because I already have travel plans this summer.

So, I donated to Worldbuilders over the holidays and I got _two_ emails asking for my address because I won a prize. Did I get two prizes? One prize and they just sent me the email twice?

Either way, yippee!
