I've now open sourced Mast! So you can see exactly how the app was made. Woo! 🎉❄️
The first real frost of this winter
CDC in the US just said to throw out your romaine. It's unsafe in any form here, from all sources.
Please boost
@JPEG According to this site there are multiple instances:
TIL that in 1908 Amalie Auguste Melitta Bentz invented the coffee filter
Frustrated by the methods that were available in 1908 „she experimented with many means but ended up using blotting paper from her son Willi's school exercise book and a brass pot punctured using a nail“
Together with here husband and her sons she then build a successful company (Melitta) which is still operating, employs more than 3000 people and is now managed by her grandchildren
@lily „Mast“ supports lists
@withmanish there’s no official Mastodon app, but I have tried and can recommend Amaroq, Mast or Toot! for iOS
@ernmander Unfortunately the answer to this question is „no“.
With that said I can highly recommend going into „Settings“ and then „Filters“ to mute things like „t.co", „@twitter.com", „🐦🔗", „RT“, … to at least get rid of some of the tweets.
@Beawriting hello and welcome :)
@shawneric May you do well!
@thomas Peinlich, aber zumindest mal ein erster Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Bis zu 6 Jahre (wie jetzt beim iPhone 5s) ist es aber noch ein weiter Weg ...
@bobstechsite Kind of, but not really.
Btw, the iPod also turned 17 two days ago.
@JPEG The only thing I can observe reliably is that it stops at the first new line of a toot (see picture 1 and 2)
Otherwise it somehow feels like that it stops at some point when the text block is long and contains multiple punctuation marks (see picture 3 and 4)
@JPEG Thumbs up for the settings indicators, but I think the translation stuff still doesn’t work properly (see picture)
Another bug I’ve found is that the Pin / Delete & Redraft / ... buttons do not really make sense for a toot that I’ve boosted (see second picture)
Kurz nicht aufgepasst und schon hat man die Fauna im Haus. So ist das halt, hier hinterm Wald :P
@emsenn While I haven’t used it so far, many people like TeamViewer. It’s free for personal usage and supports many different operating system.
I’m wondering why Google has decided that Chrome on macOS now has to be quit by holding CMD+Q instead of just pressing CMD+Q
Pressing CMD+Q is the system-wide and established way to close an app on macOS and it’s part of the muscle memory of anyone who uses keyboard shortcuts for such stuff
The only good thing here is that it can be turned of by unchecking „Warn before quitting“ and that I don’t use Chrome that often
