i am assuming this is for microsoft and apple boxes, cause moving linux to new hardware is as simple as cloning the drive and dropping on new hardware or in a partition and using a multiboot through grub -- i think clonezilla could help with the virtualization as well

the trick for the paid market is making sure it is convinced nothing changed and all the secret signatures are in place
