Mark Shane Hayden (msh@coales.co)'s status on Saturday, 20-Jul-2019 15:18:20 EDT Mark Shane Hayden Thanks for sharing the wonderful #dprk pictures. Pyongyang looks pretty surreal to me, urban yet pastoral, like it was built for five times the population or something.
Also it is like the Kim Dynasty violated a Doctor-Who-like temporal nexus when they took power and the timeline collapsed, with bits of today leaking into 50 years ago.

Just a reminder that Vice Media are unprofessional hacks and you shouldn't promote any of their articles.
Same goes for Vice alumnus Sarah Jeong, whose dismissal of @SexyCyborg 's concerns about sexism, racism and homophobia in China was appalling considering Jeong has had to live with the same kind of discrimination herself.

Yes I may be touching the third rail here... but this is Vice media's fault that this shitstorm started in the first place.

I got some crap on my blog for having the final product as just a circuit board.. Similar to a Raspberry Pi the case is up to you. It's personal. Unique. I'm only adding a case just to show one possibility. link how i made it is here - https://www.s-config.com/arduniodeck/

But you probably could "weave" it with #3DPrinting by printing alternating patterns of single strand lines and allowing the layers to cool enough in between so they don't adhere into a solid piece :blobthinkingcool:

The fediverse... but...in...slow...motion...

Mark Shane Hayden (msh@coales.co)'s status on Wednesday, 17-Jul-2019 15:00:00 EDT Mark Shane Hayden That's awesome @sean !
I've managed to maintain a weight about 25lb below my peak (from 210 to 185, most of that after my cardiac event 5 years ago)...relatively modest change but still very noticeable.
While I appreciate the improvement in my appearance what I REALLY notice is when I'm carrying a backpack or something around that weighs about 25lb for a couple of hours. Even now I sometimes think "wow I used to carry this around every waking hour how did I cope?"

Mark Shane Hayden (msh@coales.co)'s status on Wednesday, 17-Jul-2019 00:41:58 EDT Mark Shane Hayden I'd think that as @PINE64 grows their presence on the fediverse that they'd establish their own node/instance on the fediverse. In that way they wouldn't be subject to the actions of admins that might work against their interests.
I don't mean in the sense of entering the public "*-as-a-service" space like librem.one (I'm not a fan of that idea in general), I mean a fediverse server dedicated to its products, staff, projects etc...

It was a long time ago, yet seems not so long ago sometimes.
